Over the centuries, it has changed its shape and appearance so as to delight with its unique view. In our park, every season of the year paints beautiful landscapes. Rich tree stand, incl. maples, chestnut trees, birches, oaks and lindens, impresses with its size and colors. Certainly, the greatest decoration and the "heart" of the park is the London Planetree, which, due to its characteristic bark, dimensions and age (over 350 years), attracts even the most ardent nature lovers. Undoubtedly, there is nothing more pleasant than a rest or a picnic under its tree crown. To let our guests come back to the blissful childhood in this wonderful scenery, we provide comfortable hammocks and deckchairs in our park. While walking along specially designated, charming paths, you can stop on benches and a garden swing. The benches near our palace pond are certainly an ideal place for reflection. It's guessed everyone can imagine how wonderful it is to relax among the croaking of frogs or the noise of plants blowing in the wind?! ....... For those who want to rest in the shadow, a barbecue gazebo was created in the park. It is not only an oasis of peace, but also a place for family meetings and games. For our youngest guests there is a playground in the park, equipped with children's favorite attractions.
The real gem of our park is certainly the remarkably impressive and shaped in a very original way the London Planetree.
The approximately 350-year-old London Planetree - Platanus xacerifolia (Platanus xhispanica) impresses not only with its long and magnificent branches, but also with its size. According to the data contained in the Central Register of Forms of Nature Conservation, the plane tree measures as much as 757 cm in circumference, its dbh is 241 cm and its height is 28 meters. From this register we can also find out that this tree has about 6% of the crown branches withered.
When you look closely at the plane tree, you can notice its beautiful, irregular and sophisticated branches, some of which, especially in the lower parts of the tree, extend almost horizontally, which is a characteristic feature of plane trees, especially solitaire. One of the most magnificent branches of this tree runs down fancifully, then suddenly, at quite a sharp angle, turns upwards. Imaginative people will certainly be able to find something like a monster in its shape.
Mr. Lenart Paweł, in his description1, found several figures in our plane tree. On the one hand, he found a frame from the movie "Terminator" or a huge creature standing on clenched teeth. When you look at this tree in this way, you can also see the creature's eyes, one protruding outward and the other concave, in a shade of green, which is actually a sign that reads "monument of nature". The two lower branches resemble then the hands of this monster. On the other hand, when looking at the lower, sharply twisting upward branch, you can also find a severely deformed rhinoceros head in it. The third figure that Mr. Lenart found in our tree is the side profile of an exotic bird, which can be compared to a parrot with a thick, strong, but short beak.
This magnificent plane tree, which, thanks to the fact that it grows alone and is not restricted by the presence of other neighboring trees, could freely grow up and across, taking on unusual shapes and enormous sizes, which certainly attracts nature lovers. On the other hand, people with a highly developed imagination will surely find more than one figure in this tree - just take a good look J
